EASTER, THE ULTIMATE GIFT FOR MANKIND

In a few days from now the world will once again be agog with the celebration of one of the most important events in human history, Easter.  Easter is the day set aside to commemorate the cruxifiction, death and resurrection of the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ.

Jesus was indeed a gift from God to man.  He paid the supreme sacrifice to save mankind from perdition when he voluntarily came to the world to die a shameful death for the redemption of the souls of man.  The incarnate God taking on the form of man, came to the world to save man from sin.  A man who knew no sin bearing the reproach of sin; He bore the mockery, cajolery and pains of turture for the sins He did not commit just for the love He has for us.  In Romans 5:8, it is recorded, "God commended His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".  Man is thus, required to appreciate God's love epitomized in the death of Jesus and accept Him as Saviour and Lord of our soul.  When we do that, we would be expressing our gratitude to the One Who died that we may live.

As we therefore celebrate this year's Easter, we should also be able to transmit this love to some other people
around us.  They may be people in need, the helpless in the society, or people hit by natural disasters.  The successive earthquakes in Haiti is one that calls for show of love to our fellow human beings created by God our father.  It does not matter how small it is.  A little contribution from each member of the world community will make much difference in the lives of Haiti people in this time of distress.  I also want to thank all those who have been giving towards procurement of relief materials for the earthquake victims.  It is my prayer that God will reward you abundantly. I commend in particular, the US government for being champions of the oppressed.  It not only promptly sent food, drugs, health personnel, clothing materials, including blankets to the victims but also a rescue team that helped pull out people trapped in the wreckage. I also thank other countries and organisations, too numerous to mention for assisting in no small measure.

The lesson of Easter therefore is that we should show love to someone next to us by providing them with what we have that they do not have or help them wherever they are lacking.  Buy a gift for someone at Easter and you will have succeeded in putting smiles on their faces.

Thank you and Happy Easter

BACK TO SCHOOL GIFTS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

The holidays are over. The year is once again lively with the usual economic and social activities. Life continues.

Students are going back to school. Besides their normal school requirements – books, writing materials, school bags, sandals or cover shoes, beddings, clothing, etc – there are quite a number of other items that will be very useful if added to their shopping cart as they go back to school.

In this age and time, it would be emphasizing the obvious to say that a laptop computer is the students’ companion. It is recommended that parents get laptop or notebook computers for their children and wards in colleges or universities. Another product which is of primary importance to the student is a kindle. I have always recommended kindle for anybody involved in reading. A portable, electronic reading device that is capable of holding over one thousand volumes of books, magazines or periodicals, is indeed what a student needs. A kindle will take more books than a student will ever need in his/her entire academic career. So, it is not only convenient and handy to carry about but will save a student the drudgery of hauling volumes of books to and from the hostel.

Other products that are necessary for a college student is a cell phone and a wrist watch. Students need cell phones to maintain contacts with their parents, relations, lecturers, friends and classmates. So is a wrist watch, if a student must be punctual to classes and other engagements.

The above mentioned products are by no means exhaustive. You will do well to visit our GIFTS SHOP to explore the numerous gift products available for your back to school shopping.

BUY A GIFT FOR SOMEONE AT CHRISTMAS

We have only eight days to go and the world will, once again, be celebrating one of the          greatest festivals in human history, Christmas. And seven days after comes the New Year, thus bringing us into the year of Our Lord, 2010.

This period is always activities studded as preparations are in top gear for the two great  events. Businesses, particularly commercial enterprises, experience a lot of boom in sales as there are high demands for goods and services in readiness for the celebrations.

For corporate bodies and business enterprises, it is a time to give back to the same society that has made their day. It is not uncommon for management to arrange a variety of gift items not only for their employees but also for their valued customers who have been sources of encouragement and patronage to them over the preceding twelve months.

There is usually exchange of valuable gifts, greeting cards and felicitations among friends, family members, colleagues and acquaintances. Such is the amount of love that radiates this season that people freely give out of their resources as ways of thanking God for His mercies as well as demonstrating their love for their fellow man.

Items often given as gifts on this occasion include jewelry, electronics, cell phones, wrist watches, wearing apparels, kindles, hampers, laptop computers and even cars. Gifts as little as key holders or writing pen can be given and are highly appreciated by the recipients, depending on the resources of the giver. It is important to mention here that no gift is too small. What matters is the spirit in which it is given and that one is by so doing, showing love to someone.

One significant thing about offering a gift to someone in festive occasions such as Christmas and New Year is the lasting legacy. Whenever the recipient beholds or uses the gift days, months or years after, it goes to remind him or her of the giver and conjures a feeling of concern, love and care. Gifts on this occasion can also help to mend a cracked relationship, cement and consolidate existing business or social relationships.

Our Gift Shop is replete with a variety of beautiful gift items from which to buy. Click on the CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOP text link above or below for easy access to the Christmas Corner for all your quality Christmas and New Year shopping at affordable prices.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

CHRISTMAS, A SEASON OF LOVE

As Christmas approaches, there are strong expectations from our friends, business associates, employees, neighbors, colleagues, spouses, family members and other loved ones, of receiving some gifts from us this season. Even the less privileged ones are not left out in this expectation that some better placed, philanthropic individuals and or groups are certainly going to demonstrate their care for them and thus putting smiles on their faces this season by making some gift presentations to them.

The tradition of giving gifts at Christmas has some historical antecedents and could be traced to the real essence of Christmas which is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind, who is the incarnate God, who left His Heavenly places to take the form of man, suffered and died for the remission of the sins of the world.

That initial love showed by God that He voluntarily chose to save mankind, is today being replicated in the joy and love of the season, demonstrated in the exchange of gifts among all peoples at Christmas. Gift items offered at Christmas and other seasonal celebrations are vast and numerous. However, the most common ones are hampers, jewels, electronic gadgets, kindle, wearing apparels, laptop computers, cameras, cell phones, Christmas trees, decorations, MP3 or CD for Christmas songs and carols, etc. The list is endless, depending on whom you intend to give and the value you attach to such a gift.

Beautiful, traditional Christmas gift items can be selected from Christmas Gift Shop, using the link above. Alternatively, other very handsome and valuable gifts can also be found at http://astore.amazon.com/prodmarket-20. Avail yourself of this seasonal offer and and get a good discount.

Show love to someone at Christmas by sending him or her a gift. Thank you and God bless you.
